The exhibition at the NEM Summit 2012 in Istanbul comprises about 20 stands presenting the activities and results of FP7 projects, companies and organisations. Among them are three Eurescom members – Orange, Telecom Italia, and Türk Telekom – as well as the FP7 research project Vconect, which is coordinated by Eurescom.
Vconect is a three-year STREP project in the Networked Media area, which aims to create a new video communication platform for networked communities. The Vconect stand informs interested visitors about the project’s first user trials and the importance of orchestration for natural multi-party audio-video conversations.
According to my Eurescom colleague Peter Stollenmayer, who coordinates Vconect, the Vconect stand and the exhibition in general already attracted quite a lot of interest among the about 300 NEM Summit participants and a number of interesting discussions.
